skrzydlamy/We add Wings is a NGO established in the beginning of 2007. Mainly we work in Silesia (southern Poland), in such places as: Piekary Śląskie, Tarnowskie Góry, Katowice, Ożarowice commune.
On local level we organize annual events, such as: “Mid Summer Night”, “European Xmas Eve”, “MFM” (Intercultural Youth Festival); happenings and actions: “1st day of Spring”, “Sweet for a hug” and many others. We also provide intercultural, social and artistic trainings and workshops for local community. Often we lead Local Initiative projects which are mainly based on art topics. We like to cooperate with other organizations from Silesia – sometimes we help them and sometimes they support us.
On international level mainly we’re involved in the European Voluntary Service (EVS). We’re a Coordinating Organization which means that we have rights to host volunteers in our association, send them on a project abroad and coordinate project of some other organization, which would like to host or send a volunteers.
Frequently, our members take part in seminars and training courses on different topics, which are held in Poland and abroad. With a group of youngsters we participate in many international exchanges abroad, but we also organize them in Poland.
