In Ghana, the main issue addressed during the campaign was sanitation problems, due to pollution caused by its inhabitants. Therefore the theme of the campaign was "Making our environment clean again". It took place in Accra, in a local market and it reached around 800 people.

The first practice phase of the Animate the Global Change project was held in 20th of October 2017. During the practice phase all the knowledge and skills acquired at the first training in Togo about how to use campaign to create change and reach more people. The organization had 25 volunteers to execute the campaign which was really impactful.

PRACTICE PHASE 1 : hungary

We were really satisfied with the success of the first campaign so for the second one we considered to continue this approach. Wasting is a general problem in Hungary, so we have
chosen the topic of wasteful consumption. We decided to organize the campaign in Szeged, on the 1st May. This day is the Labour Day, a national holiday in Hungary. There were a lot of people on the streets and we involved younger generation to help us in our campaign so we could reach and draw attention on the topic of more people. We had 10 volunteers and we campaigned for three hours, this way we could reach about 700 people but indirectly we were noticed by many more.
The topic is very important and urgent so we are very happy to have taken part in this project.

1st training: TOGO

The 1st training took place in Lomé, the capital of Togo, from 31st of March 31 to 9th of April, 2017. The aim of this training was to develop basic competencies in global education and street campaigning for 24 multipliers involved the project. Step by step the participants were guided in the process of exploring global issues, street campaigning methods and will develop, implement and evaluate a street campaign in a public space of Lome. Last part of the training was allocated to the concrete action plan for the practice phase for all the country teams. Participants tried to use the facilities and behave as sustainable as possible. The training was prepared by A.R.T. Fusion (Romania) facilitators’ team and was implemented together with the support of the other country coordinators.

Kick-off meeting

Coordinators from each country met in Tanzania, from 9th to 15th January 2017. This was the moment for all the partner's coordinators to plan specifically the trainings and the practice phase (street campaigns) and all the activities from the project. Together, they agreed in many aspects to take in consideration along the project, such as: the best way of communicating, division of tasks and also risks assessments and management, for example.
It was also an opportunity to build trust among partners and also to set up a clear strategy for a better and more efficient cooperation. Financial management, monitoring and quality methods were also part of the agenda of the meeting.
Everyone is looking forward for the following activities!
