Practice phase 1 : PORTUGAL

During the summer of 2017, we did our first practice phase within the project of Animate the Global Change. The aim of the campaign was to create awareness among locals, on sustainable development, with special attention on the problematic of the excess of waste (soda cans) and its disadvantages. Together with a local partner we prepared a big artistic installation for the streets of Câmara de Lobos, by reusing empty soda cans and exhibited to the public during the summer festivities. During the opening of the exhibition, small groups of ⅔ people will be walking through the exhibition explaining the concept of the project and explaining the above-mentioned issues (excess of waste, disadvantages of using cans, drinking soda, impacts on environment, advantages of using returnable materials, among others).
